\"You play the role of an astronaut or a commander and collectivly activate forgotten worlds. Only together can you do it. But watch out: Traps lurk everywhere, and communication costs energy! A game that can only be played by two people, but still leaves freedom for the individual.\" Marco Zampella, Alexander Liebich One of two players of the game takes over the role of an astronaut, the other one takes over the role of the commander. Traps lurk everywhere in space, which can only be seen by the commander. Using a webcam transmission he has to navigate the astronaut.

\"1954\" – its title is reminiscent of the year of the first commercial exploitation of nuclear energy. In \"1954\" the task of the player is to preserve a nuclear power plant with cooling malfunction from its meltdown. Unlimited quantities of water buckets are available, which the player must pour over the core. You cannot prevent disaster though, it will always be inevitable, the player can only postpone the inevitable. The longer you succeed to do so, the more time elapses until the final catastrophe.

LASN (Laboratory for analysis of social networks) takes a critical look at social media services. Their weaknesses are being revealed, researched and published. On one hand it is about generating studies or projects on this topic and on the other hand to sensitize users and reveal the true intentions of those services. The data which was picked up in TERRORFAHNDUNG was generated during the installation PEEPSHOW, which was issued as part of the Beyond Festival.

Beim Schmück-Shooter handelt es sich um ein 3rd-Person-Christmas-Shooter-Mini-Game. Als Weihnachtsmann hat man die Mission, einzelne unzufriedene Bäume zu schmücken. Verschossen werden Weihnachtsbaumkugeln und Geschenke. Erst wenn die sich bewegenden Bäume ausreichend geschmückt sind, hören diese auf Santa Claus weiter zu verfolgen und sind zufrieden. Erstellt wurde das Mini-Game von Jens M. Stober und Jan Cordes mit Hilfe von UNITY. Interessante Nebensache: Die Tannenbäume im Spiel haben genau 1378 Polygone!

Völlig aufgebracht erfährt der Weihnachtsbaum von dem Unheil, das sich an der HfG Karlsruhe abspielt: Dort werden alljährlich immer abstraktere Weihnachtsbäume von verrückten Studenten gestaltet, in der traditionellen Weihnachtsbaumausstellung präsentiert und das Gerücht, es gäbe einen Überbaum, der all diese technisierte und unnatürliche Entwurzelung der Natur vorantreibt, wirft seinen Schatten in die Nacht. Schlüpfe in die Rolle unserer Weihnachtsbäume und verteidige die wahre Natur des Weihnachtsbaumes gegen die Tyrannei des Überbaums.

\'Adameyes\' is an interactive installation by Adam Gawel & Max-Gerd Ratzlaff, which consists of multiple servo-motors, aluminum rods, plastic stiffeners, a certain number of cables and two eyes. Just like in a blind flight, where you can navigate safely through the storm to the target without ever using your own senses, a robot can comprehend the world without actually being bound to human senses. It is the cold senses that bring life to a kinetic arm. Perfect movement also brings a big risk, as long as you possess the required technical skills.

The Najadenwäldchen, east of the Schlossplatz was transformed into an arts park with digital media. \"Nachtwandlung\" (conversion night) showed the best short-term projects of the past year made by thirteen students. For one night an arts landscape emerged amidst nature, which offered a wide range of performance and installations. Its philosophy is the presentation of media art in a broad public - outside of museum exhibition space and interactive options.
