iChamber Masoch
When Masoch’s unnamed male narrator subjugated himself to Wanda in Venus in Furs in the 1800s, he invented masochism as a pro-feminist tool that could be used to expiate his sense of political guilt about the otherwise irresolvable issue of his male superiority. The iChamber picks up on the helpless sense of political guilt that many first-worlders of our generation find themselves unable to relieve.  Masochism in the iChamber exists only as an untouchable, digital concept, as inconcrete as the conscience we might seek to ease.  by Anna Gates
